Dr. Whitehead received his Bachelor's degree Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston, with a major in Psychology. He received his Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He was licensed as a Psychologist by the State of Texas in 1986. Dr. Whitehead has been active in several professional associations. He was President of the Dallas Psychological Association 1991-1992. He served as Editor of The Dallas Psychologist 1988-1990. He was Chair of the Committee on Ethics in Hospital Practice of the Texas Psychological Association 1991-1993. He was a member of the Ethics Committee of the Dallas Psychological Association 1992-1993. He has been a member of the American Psychological Association for two decades. Dr. Whitehead has received training in many types of counseling, psychological assessment, and psychological care. He has a special interest in the treatment of depression, in marital and family issues, in Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder, in the treatment of substance abuse, and in executive coaching. | ![]() |
